Rachael Chong Walters is a partner at THOMPSON COE in the firm’s Dallas office. Ms. Walters practices civil litigation and has worked extensively in the areas of commercial, employment, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and non-subscriber law. She represents her clients in state and federal courts, in arbitration, and before federal agencies such as the EEOC and OSHA. Her trial experience includes successfully defending against employment discrimination, wrongful death, breach of contract, deceptive trade practices, and non-subscriber claims.

Ms. Walters vigorously defends her clients in litigation while attempting to resolve matters efficiently. She also spends significant time advising her clients before litigation arises in efforts to minimize their risks and ensure they are in the best position in the event suit is filed. In this vein, Ms. Walters provides presentations to her clients on a variety of topics, including legal updates, compliance issues, and trending strategies amongst claimants.

Ms. Walters is a first-generation Korean-American, the first in her family to attend high school and college, a wife, and a mother. She is proud to work for a firm that recognizes the value her unique experiences add to the firm.

Ms. Walters earned her J.D. in 2003 from Southern Methodist University and her B.A. in 2000 from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been recognized as a Texas Rising Star for six consecutive years (2012-2017) by Texas Super Lawyers Magazine.
