Senior Counsel at Wells Fargo & Company

Aparna M. Dave is Senior Counsel in the Houston office of Wells Fargo Bank, which she joined in 2006. She supports the company’s Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications groups, which include brand management, social media, sponsorships, digital and emerging media, and marketing strategies and promotions. She counsels clients on a wide range of legal issues including trademarks, copyrights, endorsements, publicity rights, false advertising, and other federal and state consumer protection laws and helps develop policies and procedures in these areas. She is recognized by her colleagues as a leading attorney on social media issues and is regularly asked to speak on a variety of subjects at the intersection of emerging media and the law.

She has taken an active role in supporting the company’s diversity efforts including co-chairing the Law Department’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, participating in the Diverse Leaders Program and serving as the company’s 2015 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.

Aparna is equally committed to diversity initiatives in her community. She is co-chair of the Steering Committee for the State Bar of Texas Minority Counsel Program, whose mission is to increase legal opportunities for minority and women attorneys. She is former Secretary, 2017 Elections Commissioner and an active member of the South Asian Bar Association of North America. She is a 2014 recipient of the Asian American Business Development Center’s Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Aparna was a civil defense litigator for McGlinchey Stafford in Houston. She is a 2002 graduate of South Texas College of Law in Houston.
